Let's start by going off to the early summers as we have visited Torquay for the spring championships! The early summer championships were at Brightlingsea sailing club this year and it was a little windy the Saturday afternoon and we all had to go in early in racing regatta although main fleet stayed out! ridiculous if you ask me!
Next we visit the nationals even though there were things in between. The nationals were in Weymouth this year and it was nice as some oppi friends from Chipstead along with some flags for Chipmates. There was light to medium winds over the 5 days. and I have now successfully completed my first protest but it came out with no one getting penalised but don't worry I was the protestor.
Second to last national event of the year and we're at the end of season championships at parkstone yacht club although it became one day of a weekend instead of two as storm Amy came through on the Saturday a bit hard but we got out on the Sunday which was still very windy but it was ok; kept me on my toes though and a great venue to sail. Can't wait to go back there in my career.
Last national event until next year in 2026 -keep us to date Sophie- the end of seasons are in Rutland this year (Rutland sailing club that is) 3rd time this year -to date Sophie- ok then it was light winds. That was my conclusion of the winter championships.
Now it is 2026 Happy New year We are now at Draycote Water sailing club and it was very windy - SO many people retired which put me further up the ranking so I'm not complaining. This is my first event in main fleet and only chance to get into the British Junior team - results are coming soon... Anyway I had such a fun time and I: death rolled twice nosedived twice and capsized twice - look at that consistency.
Results... I got in to the Junior team and I am so happy I am going to France to compete for GBR in the French nationals.
